I finished reading
My Name is Falon by Kim Wiese on my Kindle Saturday. The story follows Falon Macvail from her family's brutal eviction from their farm in Scotland in the 1820's across the ocean to tame new land in Mexico. As Falon comes of age she deals with death, the dangers of a new, unfamiliar land, Native American and slavery issues, and a husband who is less than ideal. The Texan's war with Mexico plays a major roll in the story. I had a hard time putting this story down. I'd recommend it.
